What Navigait stores today, where it lives, and what we will never do with it. This page describes the product as it is now, not as it will be.
Data handling
What we store, and where.
| Feature | What | Where it goes | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tracker saved list | Dates you save, your own goals | Your device only (browser storage) | Never sent to us |
| ESAT / TMUA Prep | Your plan, answers and scores | Your device only (browser storage) | Never sent to us |
| Launch list / newsletter | Email, which module, age band (16+) | Navigait database | Only if you sign up |
| CV review (/roast) | Text extracted from the CV you upload | Sent to OpenAI to write feedback | Not stored by Navigait |
| Employer interest form | Role details, work email | Your own email app | Nothing stored by the site |
Payments are switched off. When they open, card details will be handled by Stripe Checkout and won't touch Navigait's servers. Our database tables use row-level security with no public access.
Commitments

We don't sell data
Not to employers, universities, advertisers or anyone else.
No advertising trackers
No ad pixels, no third-party analytics scripts on the site.
No account needed
The tracker and prep tools work without signing up.
No dark patterns
No fake countdowns, no pre-ticked boxes, no charges while checkout is off.
UK Children's Code
Built for under-18s.
- 01High privacy by default: student tools save on your device, not on our servers.
- 02Data minimisation: the launch list asks for an email and an age band, no names, schools or dates of birth.
- 03Under-16s aren't added to the list; we suggest a parent or guardian signs up instead.
- 04No profiling for advertising, no location tracking, no public profiles.
- 05Plain language: this page is the summary; the privacy notice has the detail.
UK GDPR

How role checks will work.
In buildAnti-Ghost
There is no Navigait job board yet. A rule-based prototype exists that scores a job post on checks like these:
- Does the recruiter's email domain match the company?
- How long has the post been up?
- Is the description specific, or thin and generic?
- Does it lean on pressure words like “urgent” or “immediate start”?
Our rule
A score is an opinion with reasons, never an accusation. The plan is for employers to see and challenge those reasons.
